I have bitten the bullet and imported my journal into dreamwidth and will be posting from dw now.

It's a bit odd, and I really don't like the red header and text of the dreamwidth site (can we change it from angry red to soothing blue??), and I didn't think I'd ever jump ship from my livejournal, that has been a world I've lived in since 2001. And after over 15 years it's sad to go, even though there has been a steady decline of posters and readers over there over the years....

The reason for the move, like this others in this insurgence, is being forced to sign a new agreement to be allowed into my journal and being locked out for the first time in all those years made me aware of the insecurity of my unbacked up blog, and conscious of the years of my life I have poured into it. Perhaps I should back up onto my computer. I don't know if I'd ever want to read this blog, rather than write it, but somehow my past being there is comforting, even if it's the doomier side of life that's been recorded rather than the joys.

So the question is - does this post show up on lj. Can you post easily into dreamwidth rather than on lj?
Is anyone on lj anyway? And if you are on dreamwidth can you add me as friend?

I'm picking up my declining lj feed on here I think, but I haven't fully explored the place yet.
tips welcome.

I'm sure you can change the Red (I haven't, but I have tweaked the style of my DW)

[still keeping saying LJ not DW. It's going to take a while...]

This does show up on LJ - I now have both, and have added you on DW (same username). I'm still feeling my way with DW, so keeping this one for now.
